Ministry sets rules to pick measurer of web resources’ audience
MOSCOW, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service has drafted requirements to choose an authorized firm to research the volume of the Internet audiences, according to a draft government ruling released late on Wednesday on the official portal.
The document reads that such a firm is not to be an international organization or the one under its control or of a foreign state or a foreign company. Such a company cannot be a Russian firm with a foreign stake of over 20% in capital, unless otherwise stipulated by an international agreement.
The organization is not to be controlled by foreign citizens or people without citizenship or Russians with foreign citizenship.
The organization is to have at least three years of experience of research of the size of audience via technical means of information and data collection.
